Morgan is a future Picasso. His painting here shows his masterful skill with colors and paint brushes. Mommy feels his painting was the best out of all the others, but found that all the other kids were extremely talented!
All the way up to Pre-K, kids were drawing a vase with sunflowers and I couldn't believe how well they all were. All the paintings were up for a small donation fee back to the school. I would gladly pay them whatever they want as we are so amazed with how much Morgan has developed with them. Most of his days (he is 2.5!) He comes running up to the door. I no longer have to carry him and he doesn't grab on to my leg for dear-life! He's so happy with saying 'By momma' and blowing me a kiss! My baby boy is growing so fast. I hope these days last forever!!!
He also made another little project for me. It's a little poem with his hand print in front. It made me cry. There are so many times I take for granted how little he really is, I expect him to fully understand whatever I say, and I have to take a step back and say 'Whoa...he's just a baby'.
Here's what the poem reads in case it isn't clear from the picture:
Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls
But every day I'm growing --
I'll be grown some day
And all those tiny handprints
Will surely fade away
So here's a little handprint
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small
Isn't that sweet. I get all mushy with this kinda stuff. I can't help it. It's these little projects at school, that although I know weren't 'his' thoughts, I know the teachers are actually taking the time to teach him something and are having activities with him. (and YES, it's on the refrigerator!)
Other than that things are good in the Cook household. My sister-in-law will be making me a new auntie with baby#2, I will NOT be having baby#2, and that's a good thing!! lol
Toodles~
